Who We Are
Aetna Plating Co. was founded by Louis C. Sobey, Sr in 1948. He was well known for his integrity in character and the quality craftsmanship he consistently provided. The business was passed on to his son in 1975. His son continued the traditions of his father by striving to provide the highest quality workmanship and outstanding customer service.
Since 1973, we have experienced a 14-fold increase in business. Our place as industry leaders is best supported by the fact that our largest source of referrals for new customers comes from other plating companies. These companies recognized our reputation for high quality plating and for tackling difficult jobs that were often passed over by other companies.
Our Union Avenue facility was destroyed by fire in March 1997. This caused a lengthy delay in service to our loyal and valued customers. We offer our apologies for this lapse in service. Our new and larger facility is almost complete. This facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and highly skilled and experienced personnel. We ensure you that we are prepared to once again provide the best plating service around, consistent with the high standards you had grown accustomed to.
